The survivors cope with falling rations and low morale. Season premiere.

Watched this last night with my wife and man, this show keeps changing my mind as to who has the most damage of all these survivors. My current vote is for Shauna.

I really think they should have doubled up episodes for the premiere -- I enjoyed this, but it was mostly housekeeping, cleaning up after last season and setting up this one. The fire in the tree was very funny, though.

My wife: #1 Crush AND Cornflake Girl? Did they find my high school CD folder?

Me: I’m pretty sure they found every woman our age’s high school CD folder.

I agree with kittens for breakfast. A double-header would have been nice. This was a bit of a boring start to the season, because it was mostly tying up loose ends from the season 1 finale.

Of course, I watched all of season 1 in a few days, so maybe I'm just complaining about the return to weekly episoides.

Also felt very typical that Shauna and Jeff didn't bother...actually checking...that the evidence they burned actually burned?! I'm excited to learn more about Lottie because I don't want Misty to be the only competent adult on the show.

Right? And, until they put the lid on, I kept saying, "Shouldn't they at least but all that stuff UNDER the grill so pieces don't just blow away in the wind before it's fully burned?"

Also, having sex in Adam's studio? "Let's go destroy the evidence of my connection to him...but also leave DNA all over the place."

I noted to my partner that every single song on this show so far was in my current music library, except Jeff's hilarious angry-sad car rock session with Papa Roach.

Everything about that visit to the studio was puzzlingly sloppy thinking by Shauna. Look, we know that she is VERY SMART, so...what the hell? I understand an initial gut reaction of "oh shit remove my face from these paintings it looks sus," but you know what looks more sus? Messily smearing out just the face on just one set of obviously-similar-themed artwork in a way that looks completely at odds with what an actual painter would do.

The better move would be for Shauna to just be ready to admit to police that she had an affair with Adam once they stumble onto a connection to her, but deny she anything to do with his disappearance. Then, she doesn't have to worry about what Adam possibly told his friends, what's in his phone messages, her face on his art, her DNA on his person or possessions, etc. She could tell almost all of the truth except for the stabbing and dismembering/disposal part! Say that she didn't realize he was missing because that's about the time that she confessed the affair to her husband, and then she and Jeff can present a united front about how they were focusing on their marriage and forgiving each other, etc.--again with almost entirely true information.
