I didn't think we needed another multiverse series but I was won over by Lister-Jone's acting especially when she's with her hilarious best friend. Also, I'm not sure if her marriage totally worked for her? Wasn't she tired of her routine?

The way they portrayed it, she came to realise she could restart from when it was good and maybe avoid getting to the boring routine again? Plus she remembered what she loved about Elijah very quickly.

I agree that ZLJ was especially good across from Tymika Tafari!

I binge watched this last week. I liked it for the most part, it kept my attention. I wish that the other universes hadn't devolved so quickly but that was a function of the half hour format. The biggest drawback for me is the Elijah actor/character didn't make much of an impact and he hadn't made a similar journey so the ending was pessimistic ripe for season two.

I was frustrated by the show implicitly normalizing the initial come on of Sandy the bar owner. Sandy came on strong when she knew Mae was on drugs, was acting confused, and was possibly not really capable of consenting. Otherwise, I've been enjoying the writing and cinematography.
