The Mysteries

In a fable for grown-ups by cartoonist Bill Watterson, a long-ago kingdom is afflicted with unexplainable calamities. Hoping to end the torment, the king dispatches his knights to discover the source of the mysterious events. Years later, a single battered knight returns.
Apparently this book is out tomorrow 10/10 and I guess reviews must be embargoed until then, since I couldn't find any and can't imagine it won't be somewhat of a literary event given the author. But I got my preorder today, and it's a 5-minute read, so. Curious if anyone else got theirs yet, and what they thought.

My first impression is that it's lovely and sad. And a little too prescient.
