I hope this show keeps going somehow, but this episode works as a strong finale.

A show that can get that sentimental with its characters after just 13 episodes and trigger the multiple shmoopy reactions I had was doing something very right.

There's such a fine line where you can get away with using the fact that a man's foot was blown off as a plot point when discussing another soldier's PTSD but then also use that same situation for jokes about losing the prosthetic leg leaving it on top of the car and replacing it with one from a mannequin. But somehow it was pulled off.

I'm glad I've watched it from the beginning, and even if it doesn't get to continue, look forward to others being lucky enough to discover it later and sharing my disappointment.

I'd be happy if they reduced it to a podcast of Chubowski resonantly depicting on base hijinks.
That is a lie that hints at a truth.

There's a serious problem with some amazing shows in the last few years dying for no good reason, and the real crime is that great characters and scenarios are doomed to never live again. Should anything try to come close, it suffers from being compared to the ghost of a thing killed before it ever became notably flawed. There's no dead wood in this beautiful graveyard, except, hmm--

There are so few episodes of so few shows that can have me cracking up and then straight up crying within a few minutes. I think I'm gonna buy this on Amazon and see how it works when watched in the correct order!

More than any other episode -- which, trust me, is saying a lot -- this one hit me right in my Army feels. Just absolutely perfect.

Just binged this. I really liked the lighter tone, and it worked well in a scenario where it could have failed hard. It was a show with rare heart - it might end up next to Better Off Ted on the harddrive.

Glad that the story got an honourable ending.
