This ep was more on the sad side with Judy getting dumped for her birthday and Deputy Liv discovering her own grandmother was the one who told the local paper she's a liar. And the end of the episode is about finding that joy where we can because of how fleeting things are.

Sad side indeed, not just for Judy and Liv, but the Hawthornes as well. Kate has been a baby incubator for the Greys for quite some time.

Given what we now know about both the Hawthornes regularly being abducted, I'm wondering if we're headed in the direction of Max being revealed as a hybrid, which is why he can see other aliens in their true form.
