I know initial reception here on the Purple was lukewarm at best, but I feel--after mainlining all three seasons during late winter--that this is a legit fun ridiculous show. Unintentionally campy, utterly batshit, and yet somehow weirdly earnest. I dig it.

I'm riding along with Kitten and loving it. Ever since the reveal of Goat Psychologist this show has turned a wild corner and been an unmitigated delight. The first several words of the episode description are "Kristen learns the details of Leland's evil scheme involving her ovum (...)"

Yeah, I think the Kings didn't help themselves in the first season by trying to play it as a semi-serious supernatural investigation type of show. Even though the team still gets sent on investigations, there's enough of a back current of "well, is this actually Leland and the devil, or is it something else?" that just lets them ramp up the craziness.
