Booooooooooooooooooooo!

Just awful. Attempting to push this into Poltergeist/Conjuring level scale kills its magic. The magic camera thing is silly horseshit that makes the scary unseen into the boring seen. The series is way too in love with its mythology and lore here.

Olivia Taylor Dudley has been in better things than this. And I don’t even mean The Magicians, I’m talking about 5 Second Films.

I think they were trying to re-invent Poltergeist here. All of the subtlety of the first film, in which the audience stared at the screen watching for the little details that would give away the Activity, was abandoned. I mean, ew.
