When James McClean turned up at Wrexham, the name was familiar but I’d forgotten he was the poppy guy. I’m curious to know, for people not from the UK, how well they thought that whole thing was explained. Because it seemed like they did an OK job; but I’m already familiar with the context, and honestly there are whole PhDs to be written about the politics and sociology of poppy-wearing in the UK.

Gosh, there were some real charmers in this episode. Onscreen (I’ve never wanted to throat punch anyone as much as I did that twat with the beer) and off (the people sending death threats). It does remind me why I normally stay away from sports. So, uh, thanks everyone, well done.
