[Trailer] A troubled woman living in an isolated community finds herself pulled between the control of her oppressive family and the allure of a secretive outsider suspected of a series of brutal murders. - IMDb

This is not the horrible Idris Elba film; it's a fascinating drama/mystery/character study/romance/thriller starring Jessie Buckley (Men, I'm Thinking of Ending Things, Wicked Little Letters).

92% / 74% on Rotten Tomatoes.

I thought this was just fascinating--strange but compelling, almost hypnotic. I liked it a lot, but I wouldn't go into it expecting to like all the characters (or possibly even most of the characters).

I liked it too; it's a dark and creepy little psychological thriller with odd twists and great acting, both from Buckley and from Johnny Flynn as her mysterious charmer. Worth a watch.

i've been dallying on getting an eye on this - i'm a Flynn fan, but Buckley bugs me sometimes. now i'm curious enough, i'll have to watch it!
