Well, that was certainly an episode to inspire fanfic/art/cosplay. Also, they killed thee straight lady first?

Well, we know that Sharon was married. doesn't make her straight - necessarily.

Yes the cosplay potential from all the episodes so far has been excellent

Actually the costuming, wigs, makeup and production departments have been OFF The CHAIN so far. Just Superb.

Also this makes the third (fourth?) rendition of the 'Wicthes Road's Ballad, and every one has been .. A LOT - in the best possible way.

Ohh, I thought this version of the song was terribly cringe. They shoulda Grace Slicked the shit out of it.

The costumes were divine, though, I absolutely agree.

Teen had a very Donny Osmond vibe, and I love that for him. I don't trust him though.

Lillie keeps having episodes, are they magical premonitions?

It is impossible to write songs more cringe than the stuff from the actual 70s.

I am very attached to these witches, they better all make it out.

- Disney+ had a preview still from the episode that showed them rocking out, and so I was like, all right, RAWK, and I was not disappointed. Loved the outfits and the attempted use of a mondegreen by Agatha to claim that they didn't need a full complement of witches.

- Very intrigued by the revelation that Rio is Agatha's ex; ever since Agatha appeared in WandaVision, I've been wondering if we'd get more of her backstory, since we know that she's well over 300 years old and I assume that she did something besides sit around and wait for the Scarlet Witch to show up. (There was also a reference to the Daughters of Liberty, an actual group.)

- The mystery around Teen continues; I'm not sure that I completely trust Rio's claim that he's not Agatha's son, though. One of the overarching themes of this show is the revelation of various secrets kept by the coven, with some hints last episode and some secrets told this one, not just by Alice but by Jennifer.

- So, we've had a test involving water centering around Jennifer, and one involving fire centering around Alice. I'm guessing that the next one will involve air and center around Lilia. Also, Jen sure brewed up a healing potion pretty quickly out of basically nothing; I wonder if Alice will be able to cast fireballs now? And will Rio eventually complete the elements with earth?

Some other folks pointed out that Rio specifically said "That boy isn't yours". Which could mean he's not Agatha's son, or could mean that he belongs to someone else now.

After they finish the song, the piano lid opens to reveal an exit, then Teen collapses and CUT, they're all outside gathered around Teen and absolutely no-one mentions the exit. Was that a bad edit or did it make sense to anyone else?

Alice mentions the exit and looks down into the hole/stairway.

I think the edit was just to cover the group carrying injured Teen out through the piano which probably would have been logistically awkward to film - also would have necessitated building a practical piano exit/portal. .. ..

It was weird seeing Patti LuPone take tambourines and third backup vocals

sixswitch, yes! That was my first thought when they put the song together. Generously, it may have been a joke - LuPone was in that production of Company where the actors all played instruments and iirc, she (Joanne) played the triangle for comedic/ironic effect.

My other music-related thought was that Agatha is the Taylor Swift of witches. A veneer of style and shake-it-off attitude over a deep well of grudges and trauma.

Fun episode!

Lol. Kiss! Kiss! kiss! Kiss!

It took Willow 5 seasons. Shows don't even get 5 seasons now, so we can only wait 5 episodes.

Korra only got to hold hands, and all kisses were confined to the comics, but apparently the writers were chilled and didn't even push for an onscreen kiss

Marvel is so neutered, though, I am worried.

~The ~ Patti LuPone calling *someone else* "One Scary Bitch", will never not be Hilarious to me 😂

When Jennifer was talking about being bound by a medical doctor, I wonder if it was Strange? He's the only character we currently know of that is both a MD and witchy. Dr. Doom is witchy but not medical.

Pretty sure they showed the doctor in a previous episode and he was Just Some Guy (and it happened maybe several generations ago based on his clothes). I think the implication was that this was another instance of the patriarchy suppressing witches’/women’s talents.
