If you're going to watch this at all, make sure you watch at least two episodes because the first episode is slow and doesn't really hit. The second one operates several gears higher. We haven't seen the whole thing yet, but the second episode did sell me on finishing.

Man, Robert R. McCammon. He's not an all time great horror writer but I've always been surprised that he didn't have more adaptations; his books are perfectly readable.

John Hyams is an excellent selling point. He's so good at building tension, both in TV and in movies.

Chloe Okuno also kicks ass. She made the excellent short Slut, the very best segment in V/H/S/94 (HAIL RATMA), and the 2022 film Watcher. She's great.

We finished this over the weekend and thought it was just OK. Slow going, never particularly engaging, and doesn't have a satisfying end. However, we started watching Hysteria! once we finished Teacup and we're liking it way more!

I like McCammon, and re-read Stinger prior to this show starting. I don't know why I bothered. Why emphasize that you are adapting a book that you pretty much ignore? I get that a faithful adaptation of the book would be incredibly expensive, but I watched the first episode and have not felt compelled to watch the others - yet.
