This is less a straight-forward narrative than a jumbled immersion into the last hours of these boys' lives. It's bleak and tough, harried and desperate.

At first, I wasn't on board with the timeline jumping back and forth, but later it started to resonate. The story never really resolves into something you could tell in a linear fashion and that isn't really the point.

The extended opening tracking shot is pretty impressive.

Shockingly, this story of innocent boys becoming disoriented and discouraged as they are hunted by chucklefucks from the local militia did not cheer me up at all yesterday.
