With only 10 days until World's End, the Continental Classic gets tenser as Darby and Ospreay have a "first time ever" and The Beast Mortos is still looking for a win. Anna Jay gets another swing at the TBS Championship, Hook and Shibata continue their hunt for Christian Cage, and the Death Riders vs. three faces who cannot coexist.

The announced card for tonight:

We'll hear from MJF regarding his upcoming Diamond Ring Battle Royale
Nick Wayne and Christian Cage vs. HOOK and Katsuyori Shibata
Continental Classic – Blue League: Shelton Benjamin vs. The Beast Mortos
Continental Classic – Gold League: Will Ospreay vs. Darby Allin
We’ll hear from FTR from Asheville, NC
TBS Championship Match: Mercedes Moné (c) vs. Anna Jay
Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, and PAC vs. Jay White, Orange Cassidy, and Hangman Adam Page

I'm going to make a wild request: Put the title on Anna Jay tonight. Mercedes has cooled off, especially now that she just shows up (without Kamille) to run her mouth. Anna shuts her up by winning, she goes off somewhere to get fucking dangerous. And a title change on a regular episode is a good thing every now and then, to throw off expectations.

Also, for lack of a better spot to say this, it's been announced that the double main event of Ring Of Honor Final Battle -- "from the historic Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC!" -- is the already announced Chris Jericho vs. Matt Cardona, BUT ALSO the rematch of Athena vs. Billie Starkz for the Women's Championship.

OK, no Anna win but possibly Mercedes' best match in AEW? (Her NJPW title defense earlier this week was excellent.)

Speaking of someone's best AEW match! Darby gets a win over Ospreay and pulls the Gold League into a 4-way tie! Possibly AEW's best overall match since Blood and Guts.

After a real 1-v-1 classic, the 6-man main event is more of a story being told than a match. The faces occasionally got their shit together long enough to mount a threat, but Hangman -- in another move I swear is taken from the Stone Cold Steve Austin playbook -- gets upset when Jay White tags in and walks to the back long enough for them to lose their advantage.

A sub-story here is that Moxley, on his own, does not have effective counters to Orange Cassidy's offense, while Wheeler Yuta manages.
