Dandadan: Kicking Turbo Granny's Ass

With the old yokai making it clear that they have no choice, it's time for Momo and Okarun to engage in a very high stakes game of tag - one they're determined to win...
And with this, the first major "arc" of the series reaches its peak as our protagonists finally deal with Turbo Granny.
The episode starts with Momo and Okarun returning to the tunnel where the latter first met the yokai, with their nerves on a razor's edge as they enter her domain. Momo promptly demonstrates "be careful what you wish for", as a comment about Granny's size results in them seeing a massive version of Granny filling the tunnel - and Okarun finds a second behind them, resulting in the two being trapped. And when Okarun tries to use Granny's powers, the yokai simply reverses what she did to him, restoring his genitals and cancelling her curse. With that, Granny prepares to make a snack out of the two...
Only for Momo to remember her grandmother's advice about poking Turbo Granny in the ego, which she does by challenging the spirit to a game of tag. While she does sets some rules for the game, it turns out that Granny's a rules lawyer par excellance, and uses the point that nobody said how to count to catch up quickly, imprisoning Momo before turning on Okarun. With no other options, he counters her bay...taking her up on her original offer, biting down on a yokai mammary which results in her choosing to take him over - which once again makes her vulnerable to Momo's powers.
...and then carcinization rears its ugly head as the bound spirits of the tunnel become a massive crab to save Granny, resulting in a desperate race outside of the tunnel to escape becoming crab food - thankfully, Okarun once again can enter into his Granny Form to outrun the shelled menace. Bad news, though - possessing a yokai's power does not interrupt the laws of physices, and so the two go flying off the cliff into town. Okarun manages to get them down safely by going All Out, but that uses up one of his two "charges", and the crab decides to follow - resulting in a race through the town, and into a bathhouse to boil the crab.
Problem is, they're on Granny's turf - and Granny plays dirty, using the spirits of the local cemetery to possess the locals into trying to catch the two. Oh, and the crab's back, too. Facing down Granny's hordes, Momo tells Okarun to go All Out again, as they really don't have much choice. And as he does, we get to see the two prepare to race through as an appropriately bombastic and awesome piece of music plays - the William Hell Overture. And with the song playing, the two use their powers to race through Granny's minions and escape, with them crashlanding by the train tracks, and Momo losing grip of Granny.
With Granny pretty much 110% done with Momo, she fuses with the spirit crab to take down the teen, as Momo grabs the passing train to escape. Granny follows in pursuit, but in doing so finds herself in Momo's trap - as the train is heading right to Seiko's domain, and guess who has set up a barrier right on the border? And so Momo pins Granny down to the train as they pass through the barrier - lighting the spirit on fire.
With that, Seiko then explains the origin of the bound spirit - that it was born of the spirits of girls about Momo's age who were sexually abused and murdered at the tunnel (and this is why there were offerings at the mouth of it.) In addition, for all of her rage, Turbo Granny is at heart a protective spirit, and had tried to console those lost souls. As such, Seiko points out that the dead shouldn't attack the living - but the living shouldn't anger the dead by going into their territory. This also brings up a point that will be made over and over in the series (and we'll get a very pointed lesson in a few episodes) - a yokai's birth is not a happy thing. Yokai are born from pain, anger, sorrow, rage, and grief - and there is a reason that to possess a yokai's power is to be cursed.
And with that, we have a victory meal of crab, with Momo and Seiko fighting over the dish, while Okarun has little appetite given what happened. Seiko demands that Okarun show proof of his restored junk, a demand that he's rather reluctant to follow. finally, with the meal over, Okarun tells Momo goodbye - after all, with Granny dealt with, there's no reason for her to talk to him now. But Momo then tells him with a smile "see you tomorrow" - pointing out that she still wants to spend time with him...and that gets a smile out of the boy.
