"The Opps" are victorious in their first debut as-named, where Christian Cage continues to do nothing and more nothing with his... clipboard that gets him a title shot? It's been so long since he won it, I legit forgot what it's called. Christian is definitely scared of facing Joe one-on-one, and keeps shoving Nick Wayne into the ring. Meanwhile Nick and Hook have some real "destined to do this forever" energy, with Hook's ground-based judo making a nice contrast to how Nick's moveset is still thrilling and aerial, even as a heel.

A part of me wonders if something went slightly wrong in the Street Fight. Bill was moving slowly in the second half and seemed to do a bad job of selling when Hobbs was supposedly slamming him into the stairs -- I mean he was lazily slapping the stairs instead while his head was a full foot away. Then he got thrown into the table and... couldn't untangle himself for a 10-count? After the bell, Hobbs seemed to pose for a moment with the bricks he'd brought in his bag and never used as if to say "oh well."

Renee gets her interview of Willow Nightingale interrupted for the SECOND TIME by her husband and the weird Moldovan lady they're in a throuple with. Whaddaya do when your man doesn't respect your career, huh? Even weirder is that Renee is all smiles only a few minutes later interviewing Mercedes Moné, after Adam Copeland had just threatened to disembowel Moxley. Is this all just a long walk to get Willow and Marina in a match, or can we get my secret booking fantasy of Beth Phoenix's return?

Princa Nana interrupts Ricochet's heel promo -- and I gotta hand it to Ric, it takes focus to push through on the mic when the crowd is trying to eat you up -- to try and set him straight. Someone else in my watch group wrote this:
yeah we gotta kill you man
I mean it was Jimmy Rave's robe, he was in The Embassy
right now it's leaning to "hey man my dead friend's gear is on you and we never cosigned you to have it"
honestly I like it because it leans back to the idea of Ric being a culture vulture just less overt when trying to go Bamboozle mode with the hurt syndicate
it's what happens when your career is one gif
and I don't 100% agree, but if this means we get a reappearance of the old Death Match Prince Nana, for just one match...

Why did I say that this mini-tournament was to find Okada's opponent? I meant Takeshita's opponent at Revolution, of course.
