Reacher approaches Quinn's location and meets Duffy and Villanueva. Duffy demands to know how Reacher is connected to Quinn.

Bit of a dull episode. Pretty much the whole thing is a flashback, which means you know how the episode plot is going to end, so it just trundles through with no surprises. I thought it would have been better to either condense it to a much shorter time within an existing episode, or spread the flashback scenes out across several episodes, maybe out of order, so you get to wonder what's going on.

It might be another casualty of the second-screen streaming thing, where all exposition has to be belabored and repeated because it's assumed the audience are spending half the time fiddling with their phones.

Yeah this one was flat to me, and felt quite poorly -written. I wondered if that was due to the writers strikes (saw an interview clip which mentioned they had everything written just before the strikes, so could continue shooting without having to shut down).

I liked this episode! I thought it showed a lot about Reacher and why he's been acting like such a psycho (bad psycho, not lawful good psycho (honestly, he's very murderous in this season.))

This was...okay. Honestly, though, that’s kind of how I feel about the whole season so far. I’m just not finding a lot to like about the character this time around.

I like this series more than the last one. Flashback is very book reacher.

Reacher is gonna fuck that chap up.

My SO has pointed out all the gratuitous shots of Reacher in his undies, pants etc, including in this episode. I don't get the feeling she is planning a boycott though.

I haven't been wowed by the writing so far this season. Surely the book did a reasonable job of explaining how the new guy can just escape his room and wander all over Maine without anyone being the wiser, and why there seems to be a number 2, but almost no 3 through infinity other guards beside the goon at the gate.
And isn't it time for Reacher to come clean to Beck, now that they are aligned with the same enemy, and simply set a trap for Quinn by arranging a face to face???
I guess Neagly has to get involved, and Reacher has to sleep with Duffy before it all wraps up.
