Lobster Soup (2020)

A slow, enchanting documentary from Iceland. It tells of Bryggjan, a small cafe in a tiny fishing town and the few locals who’d been gathering there for 40 years. The place had slowly become the cultural center of the town. Surprisingly, it was made by a Spanish director. 9/10.

I've actually been to Bryggjan for the soup! You pay for it, get a bowl and some bread and then it's self-serve. A second portion is OK. It's in the town of Grindavik which I think may still be closed to non-residents after all the recent nearby lava flow activity. Will have to check this doc out!
