Episode 2: The Way We Were:
Alice (and Kat, jumping in after her) end up in 1974, meeting Victor's hot, not-long-for-this-world older brother Rick and pouty tween Victor (born an ass), and gorgeous hippie Evelyn Goodwin. Jasper Coyle (descendant of Thomas) owns the local cafe where all the musicians hang out. Evelyn is "best friends" with Colton. "We all know they'll end up together," says Rick, but Colton's eyes are only for Teen Delilah Watson, who's a houseguest of Evelyn's that Evelyn can't stand, an "ice cold fun killer." (Teen Del is very well cast, but not any more pleasant or social than adult cranky Del. Kinda snotty and rude-ish.) Colton dislikes disco, Del adores disco.
Colton is gifted his guitar. Colton gifts Evelyn a paired set of books. Alice parties with the teens, Kat has to creepily lurk in the bushes.
Colton walks Alice and Evelyn home. Rick and Victor go off to get beer, get into a car accident, and Rick dies. I'm bummed. Rick was hot. An agitated Alice goes to the pond and finds a wet, dressed-up Colton coming out of it. Unclear if they are in 1974 or not in that scene?
Back in the present, Jacob feels angsty about what happened to him and tells Del he was a criminal in the 1800's and only came home because he had to flee. Victor rolls into town again and is actually pleasant?? And engaged?!
Kat does a book talk about Susanna's book and how it talks about how one of the ancestors was a bad guy. This is argued with by, of course, a Goodwin. Evelyn's son, Lewis, who's opening vineyards. Jacob gets Very Upset at Susanna slander and blurts out, "Because I lived it!" and then, uh, awkwardness ensues.
Del loves Sam, Sam is going on a visit elsewhere. Whatever.
Kat plays the record for Alice, telling her she'll be going back to 1974. Del claims she doesn't remember Alice in 1974. Kat: "YOU DIDN'T REMEMBER HER IN 1999 EITHER."
Victor is looting the house looking for his wife's ring and goes back to his usual pleasant self.

Episode 3, Live and Let Die:
"I wish I knew what the pond wants from Alice in 1974."
Colton admits to "jumping in the pond" after Rick's funeral, but doesn't explain himself further. Young Vic wishes Colton was the dead one.
"One does not move on from the utter devastation of unrequited love!" -Evelyn.
"Maybe I'm alive because of you!" -Colton to Alice, who freaks.
"Nice night for a porch beer?" The men FLEE while the women fight yet again.
Putting together the Evelyn/Colton books, there's a secret message about "the water did save us, I believe you, there is magic at home, come back home." Evelyn never read it. "They knew about the pond. Were they time travelers too?"
"Don't get caught spying on any more teenagers."
I keep forgetting that Alice has a love interest. (I think both Alice and that guy ALSO forgot they were love interests.) He is cute, but looks so dead on like her dad that I'm kind of icked. Alice turns down his offer of romance and then immediately kisses him.
Del makes up with her friend Rita. And then BRUTALLY RIPS VIC A FUCKING NEW ONE for messing with her and her daughter, compliments Elliot, and then shoves her "dry biscuits" into Vic's chest.
Jacob sees his old friend, who is feeling awkward AF. Jacob is feeling weird and out of place.
Kat's time travel goes a bit awry when she runs into an elderly relative, Colton's grandma Fern. Fern is the sort to wander around the woods in her nightgown singing.
"I was married to the man for 25 years. If he'd known about the pond, he would have told me." Del and Colton thought that Fern's mind had gone when she talked about "the curse." Fern tells Kat that she thought Colton might be "the one" but she was wrong. Fern is incredibly cryptic and wanders off for her nap.
"65, thought they died, 65, still alive," Evelyn sings, randomly. Kat and Alice dig through Dead Evelyn's paperwork and find "Town Vote To Fill in Landry Pond" in 1965.

Episode 4, I'll Have To Say I Love You In A Song:
Alice and Kat go to 1974 and divide and conquer. Evelyn is playing "Lady of Shalott" by herself in the woods. "I know what you know. The pond is a very special place. You feel it too, right?" She and Alice go to Lingermore. Del is blasting "Waterloo" by the pool when Colton shows up. Del tortures Colton with ABBA while he tries to ask her out. Evelyn decides to spy on their date. Good luck with that, because Colton's taking her boating. Del gets seasick and stomps off in a huff as soon as they hit land. Colton busts out his guitar to play "Waterloo" at her. He also wants to make out with her when she has barf breath, which...I can't with that. Evelyn cries.
Alice comes back home and brags to Del that she watched her first date and "the exact moment they fell in love." Del....does not enjoy this like you'd think. She only got more nauseous on the way home and Colton used pressure points on her. Alice goes on a date with Noah and he also uses pressure points on her. OMG MFEO!!!!!! is the vibe I think I'm supposed to be getting from that. Max Goodwin, Lewis's son, walks in and Alice is all "So Casey is your sibling?" and Max is all "What sibling?"
Colton tells Alice that Fern told him as a kid that the pond takes people back in time, and the day Colton jumped in after Rick's funeral was his time to try. It didn't work.
Del and Jacob go to Lingermore-present. Lewis wants to hire Jacob for his old-school farming techniques. Jacob has creepy Cyrus flashbacks and freaks out. They leave and Jacob confesses to Del later that Cyrus tortured him.
Jasper arrived in 1965 and recorded all the meetings. They listen to the meeting--"two kids almost drowned," the Goodwins were objecting, Fern defends the pond and her property, little Evelyn says the pond is special and magic and she was saved by--Little Colton cuts her off, Fern says Colton saved her.
Kat and Elliot:
"You're more worried about the floor than my time travel news?"
"I'm concerned about the floor AND your time travel news. I contain multitudes."
In the same episode, Elliot goes from a prig who cares about the floors to Mr. Sexy as soon as "Closing Time" plays.

Episode 5: Reeling In The Years.
Kat and Alice argue over whether Colton is a time traveler, and if Casey is (all references were fake...KAT, CHECK THAT SHIT BEFORE YOU HIRE). Later, Max Goodwin says that Casey/Cassandra (see below) is a family name, so the imposter did their research, at least.
"You really want to know history? It's not in stuffy books. It's in the art, in the time. Paintings, poems, songs. That's where the truth in the era will always lie." -Jasper
Kat asks Fern about the Pond Drowning Incident, she ignores this but tells her that even if Colton isn't special, he's a rule breaker.
Del hates her birthday. A party is being thrown anyway. Del made some kind of bad choice that might make someone hate her, but we don't know what.
Evelyn moved her bedroom to the attic and mentions an ancestor who was locked up there, who she decides to call "Cassandra" ("it's a family name"). And by call I mean "gets out the Ouija board." The Ouija board indicates there was a fire, the room gets windy and creepy, Colton is creeped out. Evelyn has a "Colton has to rescue me" fetish after he saved her when she was 8. The girls find Kat's painting hidden in the attic and Alice runs for it.
Meet Emma, Elliot's ex-wife. She blows into town, has Elliot's address but not his phone number, his dad's causing trouble, and she'd love to stay over for dinner and reminisce about their dating life! And be invited to Del's birthday party, which makes no sense! Elliot tells Kat that he only proposed to Emma because he saw Kat and Brady together in Toronto and thought he should move on. Kat was all "I was miserable with Brady that night!" I am cringing.
Sam brings over a "proof of life" certificate verifying Jacob's existence.
Meet the parent! Clone, meet clone! (Noah the new boyfriend meets Brady.) Noah later mentions that Alice is "wife material." (I think he meant that Max said this?) I'm all, she's 17.
Jacob says yes to the job offer. He and Brady make amends.
At the party, Emma digs up the folk song Kat found and asks Alice to sing it. It's about a healer/witch being hauled to the gallows, which freaks Kat out. The moon is blotted out (eclipse, I presume?), and the witch escapes. The song is from 1816, the "Year With No Summer." Susannah didn't mention the year at all. Kat says to focus on the lyrics.
Del gets mad at Alice when Del tells her that Evelyn was in love with Colton, griping, "Stay out of my memories!" Alice cries.
Kat and Jacob decide to go to 1816 together. I'm not sure how they do this, exactly, setting the time. The sky is orange and they can't find anybody except at the church...where Cyrus has just wed Susanna. RUH-ROH. Susanna spots them, looks upset, keeps going. Thomas is also lurking in the bushes.

Episode 6, Ain't No Sunshine.
In 1965, lil' Evelyn goes to the pond looking for fairies and falls in, as you do. Rick and Colton are running around in the woods in the dark and Colton goes in after her. We don't see anything more than that today.
in 1974, Del is going to have to go home and go to her cotillion.
In 1816, Jacob runs out in public to say hi to his dad, right after saying they can't be spotted. Thomas follows. The situation here is dire and people are starving. Why did Susanna give in to Cyrus? He's been ingratiating himself to everyone. Susanna briefly comes over and is pissed off at the time travelers, snaps that she knows what she's doing and for them to go away. She has a hurt side (not from physical abuse, she notes), but says Cyrus has been kind to her and he can get her what she wants.
Kat is all, "I AM GOING TO THAT WEDDING RECEPTION!" Elijah dresses Kat for the occasion and "if I just avoid Cyrus, I'll be safe" since he saw her once and only when drugged. Me: "YOU'RE GOING TO AVOID CYRUS AT HIS OWN WEDDING RECEPTION, WANNA THINK ABOUT THIS ONE FOR AWHILE, KAT, OF COURSE NOT." You know what will happen. Thomas likewise shows up at the same party, though Jacob is not allowed to go. Left home alone, Jacob looks for a gun and also shows up--to take a pot shot at Cyrus. His dad catches him.
After the sky "rains blood" (looks like flower petals) people start witch hunting and Susanna outs herself as the witch who stole the sun. Oh sweetie, no. Cyrus protects her. Kat steps in and announces she's the White Witch and it's all her fault. Thomas outs himself as well, saying Kat brought him back. "See if this witch can conjure herself out of a jail cell!" Thomas has "an in" with the guard and gets them out. "This is like your execution all over again!" Kat fumes. They all immediately get kidnapped and brought to Cyrus and Susanna. He asks if she can stop the winter. No. "You will become our target," Cyrus says, and he'll execute them all.
At the execution, Kat brags about taking the moon with her. I love how in TV eclipses happen fast as opposed to the two-plus hours I spend watching them online. Kat demands her release and makes Cyrus promise to not touch Susanna/Elijah/Thomas. Cyrus freaks. Susanna has wrist injuries from being attacked by villagers, which is why she wants Cyrus as a bodyguard. Kat and Susanna tell each other they love each other. Honestly, those two have more vibe for me than either of Kat's dudes, though Thomas is fairly close. Susanna's still got HER painting of Kat, mind you, along with sketches of Jacob.
Kat confesses to Jacob that she was there when Dad died, and Jacob refuses to return and kinda pitches her into the pond. That was weird.
KAT THEN TURNS UP IN 1965. And saves Evelyn, though Colton also jumps in. "Evelyn, we are never going near this pond ever again," Colton says.
In current time, Max invades Noah and Alice's couple time to steal her fries. "You two are like soulmates!" Noah says awkwardly and Alice runs away to hide by talking to Elliot, who says he's just assigned Max to be her lab partner. Alice is starting to freak the fuck out that she and Max are MFEO, for reasons I do not really get. Both of you liking the same fries does not soulmates make?
Alice is all, "Those are my memories too now!" and Del is all "Then stop going to the pond" and Alice is all, "I have no choice!" and I'm all, technically you could just avoid the pond if you wanted to, but then we'd have no show. Del doesn't want to share memories with Alice because Alice ruins them and memories are all she has left.
Sam is briefly spotted with...Casey?
Alice's ex from season 1, Nick, is all "Emma showed up? OH SHIT, I'm here to have a flashback about how Elliot didn't want to marry Emma." Nick and his girlfriend are moving back to town. Emma refuses to leave (sigh) and asked why Elliot didn't propose with the family ring. AWKWARD!!! Nick tries to deflect it all, but Emma still wants to know why it didn't work out. She kisses him...SIGH.
Kat finally returns home to Del. Kat cries about her dad again, crying "I killed him!"

Episode 7, Tell Me Something Good
"Leader of the free world turns out to be a crook. If you can't trust the president, who can you trust?" OH, COLTON, BE GLAD YOU'RE DEAD NOW.
Evelyn recognized Kat's portrait as the woman that saved her in the pond, which takes some doing since they were like, wet and underwater. Colton is all "I saved myself!" and Evelyn is all, "That's not what you thought before." Alice reveals that she somehow knows about Colton's secret message books, and he's all "don't tell Evie now." Colton is No Fun, No Belief In Magic Guy.
"Take me back to 99, right?" Nick thinks this is a funny joke to make in front of his teenager ex-girlfriend. Also, "Is Kat gonna jump into the pond? Can I watch?" "READ THE ROOM, NICK."
"I'm over the 90's. But the 70's has been cheering me up lately." -Alice
The pond wouldn't let Kat go back to 1816. Well, that was unexpected.
Back in 1816, Jacob wants to stay "home" and not "go home," despite Elijah arguing he should. "Cyrus would never dare harm me again," is immediately followed by Cyrus sending his goons over to get him. Whoever wrote this episode cannot resist a certain type of joke today.
Thankfully, Jacob's just allowed to see Susanna, Thomas runs in afterwards. Susanna pulls out her painting of Kat to show them. Then Cyrus shows up to drag them out.
Sam: "Do you know where Jacob is?"
Del: "It's complicated, but I'm dealing with it."
Sam: "Tell me what you need."
Me: This doesn't raise any weird red flags for you, Sam?
Del takes the opportunity to ask about knowing Casey. Sam says they are a client, but can't say more.
Alice and Max have enforced homework time at Lingermore. Max is curious about Jacob and wants to know if Jacob is going to do him out of his inheritance. Me: BY FARMING? Alice insists on going up to the attic and looking in the hidden spot, but only finds someone's phone (Casey's?) and no painting. Max snaps at Alice for bringing up his grandmother. Alice cries over it.
I HAVE LOST TRACK OF WHICH LANDRY LADY IS "RESPONSIBLE" FOR KILLING COLTON. I can't recap that angst no more.
Nick: "I know you're stressed out that the pond is broken, yah?" So let's have karaoke night! "When's the last time we all hung out?" "In 2000 when Alice dumped you." Reminders of that never get less weird!
OH HELLO CASEY, WALKING RIGHT UP AND ADMITTING TO BEING A SQUATTER AT LINGERMORE. "I really am a Goodwin, Lewis is my second cousin." Casey said they ran away from home last summer. Casey admits (grudgingly) that Sam helped save the farm. Casey runs for it real fast after that. "At least you know Max Goodwin isn't your future husband," Kat says. Me: Still not getting where that shit came from unless Alice thought Casey was her future kid with Max (which I am unclear on).
Del tells her friend Fern about the anonymous letters, Fern says Sam was trying to keep this guy in prison ("Bay Street Bandit") but he got out on appeal.
KARAOKE NIGHT!!!! This song choice (Silver Springs) is putting me to sleep. Alice finds it disturbing. Nick continues to be hit with the Idiot Ball and thinks it's fine, "it's about nature, right?" Kat and Del hug. "See, karaoke does fix everything, I am a genius." Sweetie, no.
Thomas sends Jacob home. AND THEN JUMPS IN AFTER HIM. I guess it didn't work. Darn it. Jacob comes in the house just as Kat and Del decide to go after him.
Elliot confesses that Emma kissed him. Awkwardness ensues.
Jacob is somehow not fazed at hearing that Alice took Elliot to see Colton? I'd be all WAIT YOU TIME TRAVEL TOO? Jacob is annoyed he didn't get more time with Dad, Del is all "my memories!"
Back in 1974, it's time for Teen Del to go home. On her birthday. Evelyn shows up to take Del to the station (in a 2 seater). Re-airing talking about Nixon while they split is a buzzkill. Colton dropping the ring he brought for Del is even worse.
Del confronts Sam about the legal stuff. He's all "what about Jacob's disappearance?" and both of them get all snippy hostile-y.
"So you're telling me that karaoke didn't fix everything?!?" Kat decides to move back home with Mom.
Jacob spots a photo of Teen Colton and Teen Del and is all, "THAT'S THE GUY WHO TOLD US TO PLAN POTATOES AND RYE IN THE PAST!!!"
Kat goes back to 1816 again and Thomas is waiting there. Kat blabs that Elliot kissed somebody else and Thomas goes in for liplock.
Casey returns. Alice spots a "family ring" on them. "Goodwin family?" Um, nope? Casey runs for and lands in the pond. YUP.

YUP.

Finally, Del and Jacob reunite in his original timeline. Jacob recognizes 90's Alice as well, thus leading everyone to finally tell Del (off camera mostly) what's been going on with the pond. Also, "Thomas is alive. He faked his death. Long story. I choose you" to Elliot, so yes, he and Kat are Finally Officially Together.
Del declares that the family needs to make up an explanation for where Jacob has been for 24 years that doesn't involve the words "magic pond." They claim Jacob had amnesia and was adopted by the Canadian Amish and only found out recently what happened.
Nine months later: someone is sending Del creepy letters about her lies. Del is dating Sam but continues to talk to Ghost Colton. Kat and Elliot want to shack up (y'know, next door). Kat accidentally spills on a book, finds secret text, and wonders if her dad knew about the pond. Jacob thinks same. Alice shows up looking and talking like a corporate executive after spending time with dear old Daddio and his girlfriend. She's seriously decided to give up music and go into a PR career. Everyone else is like "Really?!" Girl, you're not even out of your teens yet, you're still a few years off from giving up your dreams!
Kat jumps into the 1814 pond, where everyone is not happy to see her and want to hustle her out of there ASAP because while for Kat it was 9 months ago, Jacob's only recently left there, and Thomas has faked his own death.
Colton recorded a record in 1974, with Alice singing on it. Alice later gets shoved into the pond while trying to call her mom to say she thinks someone else is using the pond.
