Oh god. I loved this one (I love all of them) but the heart of this one is so disturbing, partially because not only does everyone blame Kimmy for her decision in the bunker, but because she doesn't disagree with them herself.

The reveal about the mystery crank was dazzling. The mole women were literally just a battery for Reverend Richard Wayne Gary Wayne's man cave.

Yeah, that sequence is where the satire of victim-blaming comes to a point, and MAN is it pointed. Thank God it's also a really funny episode,* because jeez, that part pulls no punches.

*For instance: “LAST ONE TO THE BUNKER IS A MOTHER OF WHORES!”

Also, I forget if it was in this episode or the previous one but the scroll on the local news broadcast about the Pacers-Sixers game is one of my favorite blind-and-you'll-miss-it gags in the series. That and LaND MALL.

"Gonna be famous... Gonna burn off my skin tags."

"Crank you for being a crank."

This is when the show's fundamentally creepy and disturbing undertones really come to the forefront. After I watched this run of episodes, I found myself reading up on real-life kidnapping and imprisonment cases.

I think these episodes were all written after Netflix picked the show up. I feel sure this plot would have played out less disturbingly if it was on network TV, which would have been a real shame.

I twitched at Gretchen's in-bunker callback to Kimmy's words after they were freed - "It's still here. It's all still here."

Eeeee no Gretchen that's not a good thing someone get this woman one of those therapists who can reverse brainwashing.

Is this the episode with Tituss's viral video?
Because watching that with me proved to my wife just how immature I truly am.

"I'm referring to you as the Paul McCartney of the mole women. What does that mean?"

Mole women, Mole Problems.

Land Mall.

Daddy’s Boy Original Ending NSFW. (one of the videos in the sidebar of Titus's viral video).

I'm gonna be famous! Gonna be on TV (can't find a more official upload, so this link might not have a date with eternity).

My favorite quotes:
"That man could sell snow to an eskimo, or a Pontiac Aztek to... someone."
"No. Memory Lane is where I got kidnapped."
"I think of you as the Paul McCartney of the mole women, why is that?"
"But if she had stayed in Durnsville, like a real American, I know for a fact all of you would be rich right now."
"Where did all these potato bugs come from?"
"The Navy realized I hadn't been eaten by a whale."
"Can you join us in the Grand Ball-tube?"
"Stop the presses, my paninis can wait."
"Last one to the bunker is a mother of whores!"
Netflix translated Dona Maria glancing at Gretchen in the bunker saying "I cant believe I made out with her."

LaND MALL instead of Sky MALL

This always has had a dark undercurrent to me and holy hell did that rise to the surface on this episode. There were definitely funny bits but this one felt like more a punch in the gut than the others that came before it to me.

Didn't notice until re-watching last night, the Judge's name is Judge Bad and Titus is trying to cover up his name on the screen when he accidentally sings his song.
