Lacrosse, a Beacon Hills hospital budget meeting, and monsters. In a fit of inspiration, Jeff Davis decided to make up for the loss of Allison, Erica and Boyd with two new characters who just happen to be white teenage boys. AV Club gave this a B.

Okay, I have to admit I was pleased that Wendigo boy bit it, because I was really fretting about having to figure out how to tell him, Parrish, and little lacrosse shit apart.

I guess because nobody liked Jeff's sandy-haired, pug-nosed twins last season - he's vowed to throw a pile more at us.

Stiles & Malia - much more cute this week. Mouthless hunter/slayer - meh? Stiles backing Scott at the try-outs - very cute.

Having a character in this episode actually say that this is a "rebuilding season" was pretty hilarious / gutsy, I thought.

Stiles & Malia really were ridiculously cute - I'm not into that, but I can appreciate it from afar.

Have to say, that was the most ridiculous way to turn a guy into a werewolf that I have ever seen.

Derek Hale wearing jewel tones and looking up at people through his eyelashes is redefining my views on male beauty.

Seriously - I can buy that Stiles might not be great at lacrosse, but there's no freaking way that kid can't run.

Was Wendigo kid a Wendigo all along? So for who knows how long there's just been a random Wendigo family living in Beacon Hills? Huh. Did the Hales know about this? Did Deaton? Morell? ANYBODY?

The Hales probably kept themselves to themselves. Deaton and Morrell? I suspect they may not have lived as long in Beacon Hills. I am guessing that because wendigos--or wendigi, as I am choosing to call them--don't have a scent that a werewolf could pick up?
