Thomas Oscar is an Australian teenager who tried to make the most boring Facebook group possible - a group where members pretend to be corporate drones in a non-existant office.
Nobody wants their Facebook page taken over by dad jokes.

This was the podcast equivalent of my youngin' putting on my hiking boots and saying "Look at me, I'm a daddy!"
Adorable.

Funny, this one didn't do it for me. Maybe it just made me feel old (early 30's).

I did love the fact that the teens all knew the corporate-speak.

Not only did they know corporate-speak, they basically built an actual culture indistinguishable from the office culture they were mocking and actively defended it against change! And then there was a messy leadership transition and the founder now hates his old company! And the old company pays lip service to his "vision!" It's FUCKING PERFECT!

Wow. That came out more strident than I intended it. I got caught up in it. Sorry.

(A side note: I like that the interhost banter has come back from the brink of seemingly unselfaware meanspiritedness.)

really enjoyable, one of their best episodes I think. I loved the comment near the end that the kid is saying how much the adult world sucks, and his description is actually fairly accurate. I really liked the kid, how he was aware he was raging against the machine but would inevitably become a part of it.

This one was just utterly delightful, primarily due to Thomas's hysterical, winning personality... I LOVED his bleak, Mumford-&-Sons-and-pad-thai vision of adult life.

I'm pretty sure I would have enjoyed this episode a lot had it not kept using the word "lame" again and again and again. It would probably have been a close second to the girl scout one, but -- ugh.
(I don't know why all my comments about this podcast seem to be negative when actually I enjoy it.)
