Under the Dome: Incandescance
September 4, 2015 7:09 AM - Season 3, Episode 12 - Subscribe

When the Dome's calcification process accelerates, Chester's Mill has 24 hours before the barrier's breakdown will suffocate everyone inside. While the new deadline puts added pressure on Joe to bring the Dome down, Barbie and Julia race to save his child from The Kinship. [CBS]

With 24 hours left to live (thank you god), Barbie is fixated on finding his baby, Christine has wrapped her in purple worms. When the cure didn't work on Junior, Hektor decides to kill everyone but the alien queen baby's stem cells could save them. Meanwhile Junior and Sam are leading the town's elderly to their death in an attempt to buy more time/oxygen. Barbie and Julia catch up with Christine and the baby but it's on alien-dome time and is now an adult queen looking suspiciously like Eva in a blond wig.

Best quote:
Big Jim: What happened to the new alien queen? She landed yet?

Wow, it has been a while since I checked out of this show. WTF is going on over there?

Cancelled. No next season. One more episode. Many are thankful (including original author Stephen King... he doesn't NEED the royalty checks from this).

By Dome standards this episode was pretty good. Plot advanced. Characters killed. New paper mill set, complete with unexplained cash hoard in a safe. Zero Pat Benatar songs. The "Why Doesn't Someone Think of the Children" moment was pretty bad. (Wait, there are children Under the Dome? Why didn't we see them before?)

All I was missing was Big "Big" Jim feeding the Dome Baby umbilical cord to his dog. Maybe playing catch first. Go get it! There's a good boy!

This penultimate episode was so full of teh dumb I finally managed to question why I was still watching this tortured farce. The science alone is simply... not even science.

I'll see out its death throes.

After the crazy that was the final Falling Skies, we need to have warning signals before we get committed to these.

Ugh. I knew she looked familiar but somehow didn't connect the dots. My brain must have assumed that even this show couldn't be that lazy. I guess this explains why they killed off Eva for no reason at all.

If you're going to reuse anyone, put Dean Norris in a blond wig and give the man a second paycheck for sticking with this turd of a show so long.
