ok I really expect to be grossed out every time Oliver and Felicity act all couply but then it's so adorable and it makes me giddy.

Not that I was even complaining about it (because I didn't really think these kind of shows were "edgy" enough to go for it), but the addition of a gay black guy pleasantly surprised me. Of course, he's probably going to be the one to figure out what happened to Ray.

SUPER SPOOOOOILERS

Alright now that we got all that out of the way... JESUS F'ING CHRIST Sarah's corpse! Like WTF Laura! "Oh hey Thea you might be having crazy homicidal side effects from the Lazarus pit, but MAYBE the same thing won't happen to Sarah! I just REALLY want her to be alive because I can be a caring older sibling albeit unstable in the head just like Ollie!"

With all the discussion about "doing things differently" I got thinking, "hey Diggle used to be a bodyguard. Maybe that would be a good cover for him: be Jerri Ryan's (can't remember the character's name) body guard." It would put one of Team Arrow on the inside, it would show Captain Lance that things were changing. Win-win. But of course that was never on the table.

Then I got wondering, how does Diggle make a living these days? Sure his wife has an income from Argus, but is that enough for the two of them? Is he a stay-at-home dad during the day and crime fighter at night? Everybody else on the team has had jobs or has a job, so why doesn't Diggle? Does freelancing for Argus (whenever Waller co-opts him) pay enough to take a few months off between gigs?

And then I realized I was putting in way too much thought into this show.

if Argus is anything like the black ops division of the NSA or the CIA, they got more than enough money

Echo Kellum was on this recent episode of Who Charted? and talks a bit about Mr. Terrific. Its not an in depth interview but I am pretty excited to see how they explore the character.

How awful was the Anarky subplot? And the name reveal from Captain Lance was the worst. Ugh. Anarky...

Anyone else think that the Arrow creators are taking the hint from Flash and possibly speeding up the plot?

Didn't she quit ARGUS?

Maybe they have a lot of savings...

I knew the Sara stuff was coming, but I was grossed out when they actually got there.

Mr Terrific makes up for a lot of the meh stuff in this episode. Also, I celebrate the departure of the wig in the flashbacks. Finally!

Seriously. Thank god for the loss of the wig.

I actually dug this episode. If nothing else I'm happy that this season seems to be moving at a decent clip.

It's still a wig. It's just a different wig. Current Oliver's hair is much, much shorter than flashback Oliver's.

Are we talking about the last scene of him in the field in the flashback? I guess it might be a tad longer than modern day Oliver's hair, but not that much.

Silly me, I was thinking early flashback scenes after first arriving on the island and encountering camo'd bad guy. Somehow I failed to notice the haircut on conscripted bad-guy Oliver. My bad.

I assume that right now Felicity is bankrolling everyone with Ray's fortune.

The stuff with Captain Lance is driving me nuts, though. Like, really, you can't be in the same room with Oliver without righteously moralizing at him about how he used to kill bad guys, but you're working with Damien Darhk? I get that people are irrational and there's a whole family angle to Lance's dislike of Oliver, but how does that level of cognitive dissonance not cause his brain to just leak out his ears?

I just can't really take anything on the show seriously anymore. I'm not sure that all that much is different though. Looking forward to getting Sara back.

Given how common a tag the anarchy circle + A is, what cop in the english speaking world isn't familiar with the symbol?

I'm waiting for Neal McDonough to show up in a stetson, because that would prove that's he's actually time-travelling Larry Hagman.

I've always assumed that the first thing a would-be vigilante who had access to a fortune would do is figure out how to stash vast quantities of it in secret accounts. "Billionaire hero goes bankrupt" storylines never ring very true for me.

I quite liked Anarky's introduction even though he's nothing like his comic book counterpart.

I hope the island flashback story pays off. Hong Kong was so bad. I want to see the back story for his Russian mafia connections.

I could buy that, I suppose. It more seemed like lazy writing, having a character ask the question so someone else can explicitly answer it. Why not just have someone say "anarchy" or act kinda cop-like and say "we need to look up any unsolved crimes like this with the anarchy tag."
