Angel: Untouched Rewatch

Angel saves a young telekinetic woman from Lilah's machinations.

A very monster-of-the-week episode, with a little nod to the overall Darla-returns arc and the rest of Angel Investigations (now officially including Gunn) noticing that the boss has been a bit off recently. But at least we continue the overall theme of the entire series: Fathers are bad.

This was the episode that really convinced me to keep watching Angel and not just tune in occasionally for Buffy crossovers. The treatment of the telekinetic girl's backstory seemed really well thought out and the actress nailed it so hard. The moment when her father shows up at the Hyperion and she blows out the whole floor's windows is perfect. Great episode.

Not that I mind, because dude totally deserved it, but it's worth noting here that Angel does seem to encourage Bethany to murder her father (a human mortal by everything that we know) at the end here. She spares him at the last second, of course, but that could have easily led to some awkward conversations with Kate there.
