My son and I watched this and were mostly struck by how no one gave a fuck about Dead Santa. My son also found his vanishing suspiciously Obi Wan-like

I love this movie. I can't imagine a better guy for the role than Tim Allen.

The kid didn't seem to grasp the idea of not yelling to everybody he meets that his dad is Santa, no matter how many terrible things happen right in front of him as a direct result of doing that.

Yes, between that and his terrible bowl cut, that kid was annoying as hell.

The movie is actually really charming, though and has good laughs in it. My kid liked it a lot and it will probably become part of our regular Christmas rotation.

We shall not speak of the sequels.
