On TV last night here in Switzerland. I still don't get the eternal appeal, but it's cute.

Swede here, and Miss Sophie was the MUST watch TV for us too. I usually watch it on New Year's Eve still. It actually gets much funnier when you are an adult who speaks English...

Shown here every year on NYE too (on SBS.
Can't say I have ever sat down to watch it, or if I have seen the whole thing, but I do appreciate the familiarity.

They don't show it in Italy.
I was introduces to it by one of my flatmates, Portuguese or Colombian.
