Felicity isn't dead, thank god. So who is dead in the flash forwards? My leading guesses are Thea or Felicity's mom.

Also, I don't know much about the character, but it seems to me like paralyzing Felicity basically makes her Oracle.

You know what's in the grave ? A giant shark. The show jumped it and it died of embarrassment.

Now Felicity is still alive, our guess is her mom is in the grave. It's retribution not only for Ollie and his wife, but also Chief Lance since Dahrk won't take kindly to his betrayal. So Felicity loses her mom and Lance loses his new lady love.

So who is dead in the flash forwards?

I hope it's Diggle. He hasn't done anything interesting in a while and I never cared about his brother plot line. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is filming soon so the actor might want to do that exclusively.

Oliver didn't actually say the person he was going to kill was Damien Darhk, so I'm thinking it's someone who isn't Darhk. Here Oliver sounds betrayed.

Also, we don't actually know someone dies, we just know they built a gravestone for someone and it's emotional for Oliver. Could be they fake Thea's death and she heads on over to LOT or The Flash.

People I feel have become expendable:
John Diggle
Quentin Lance (Traitor to Damien Darhk)
Oliver's campaign manager (might die any way)
Felicity's mom (Felicity seemed quite emotional)

Diggle, Felicity's mom, or if they go the cop-out route, Diggle's brother, are my guesses for the dead person. It won't be Lance, and no one except Thea actually cares about the campaign manager guy.

I expect that she'll have a bit of an arc to get there but yeah, I immediately assumed that's where they were going with that.

Oracle was my assumption as well, but interviews with show executives swear that's not what they are doing. Of course that would require us to believe what they're saying and not suspect they are just laying down red herrings.

My money for the grave resident is on Oliver's son or the son's mother. Hence Barry's attendance.

That's embarrassing... I Thought Diggle and Drax were the same actor, I would have sworn they were.
It's their fake gruff voice, they both have short hair, and Drax's actors skin colour is disguised by alien makeup.
And I may not have watched the film in the resolution the creators intended *cough*, so some of the visibility was lost.

I would love to see Drax / Batista in the Arrowverse, for Oliver / Stephen Amell's sake, since Batista is a wrestler and Amell is a huuuuge WWE fanboy. But between GOTG and Spectre et al I doubt the CW can afford Batista anymore...

STEPdaughter of a police chief, or future one! Man, I hope that it's not Donna Smoak or Detective Lance in the grave, because I look forward to Laurel & Felicity: Awkward Bridesmaids.

As to Oracle, IIRC Barbara as Oracle had more of a leadership role than Felicity does (or Cisco, who serves much the same role on Team Flash as Felicity but doesn't get called Oracle). During the Birds of Prey years, Barbara wasn't just tech & field support, she was the mastermind. One of the reasons many Oracle fans were angered by Barbara's New 52 reboot into Batgirl again is that she was demoted from "experienced team leader" to "solo hero struggling by herself."

Making this happen would involve crossing the Marvel and DC universes, and seeing as Marvel can't even negotiate the return of the Fantastic Four, the X-Men and (until recently) Spider-Man to their main stable, I can't see them getting cavalier cross-overs going with the Direct Competition.

Shepherd, I meant Batista starring as a DC character in the Arrowverse, but MCU Drax showing up in Star City outta nowhere would also make a highly entertaining crossover.
