Forthcoming cult film club film: Monday and into the future

September 8: Beyond the Valley of the Dolls
September 15: Enter the Dragon
September 22: Hard Target
September 29: Performance
October 6: Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels
October 13: The Wicker Man (1973)
October 27: The Wicker Man (2006)

As you can see, I am trying a little experiment in pairings, coupling an earlier film with a later one inspired by it, or, in the case of Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, borrowing a title and almost nothing else. It's like pairing an aged cheese with a new apple, or, in the case of The Wicker Man, coupling a 20-year-old scotch with Fanta.

Can we request future movies here? Princess Bride was mentioned in the Lego Movie discussion. Streaming options appear limited, but I think it's a movie many people can discuss without necessarily having to see again (or they have other options for seeing it again).

Is Weekend at Bernies a good fit? There is nothing about that movie that I don't love.
