Frinkiac (previously on MeFi) can make just about about any Simpsons quote into a "meme image" (< there's yours)

I've actually got a little framed postcard promo for this episode that I picked up at a record shop before it aired, its homer with a mic and sonic youth behind him plugging their ears.

It's inevitable, when keeping characters the same age for years that sometimes there will be some jarring retconning needed. But when you compare this episode, in which Homer fawns over Peter Frampton and scratches his head at the Lollapalooza bands to "That 90's Show", in which Homer himself leads a grunge band called Sadgasm, it's maybe the weirdest bit of dissonance this show has ever had.
In the "Homerpalooza," the dad music jokes were about how dopey Homer didn't get 90s alt-rock. In "That 90's Show," the dad music jokes were about him making 90s alt-rock.

And as I continue to quote lines from 20+ year old episodes this scene is always at the back of my mind.
