This episode is widely recognized as one of the best episodes they ever did, and for good reason:
“Die Bart Die”
Trying to train Homer to be Mr. Thompson
Sideshow Bob under the car
The parade
The rakes
They whole musical number at the end

I’m probably forgetting some other great stuff.

Another quotable - on the boat, Bart runs to one end, sees alligators, runs to the other end, sees something else dangerous (I forget exactly what), runs back to the first end, sees the alligators again and says "Oh yeah", as if he'd forgotten there were alligators there before. So many times in the course of a year, I'll run into some major problem and say "Oh yeah" in that exact same tone of whimsical discovery.

This episode is also notable for being the basis of Mr. Burns, a Post-Electric Play, which is about the story mutating over time as it is told and retold after an apocalypse.

It opens with a Rainier Wolfcastle talk show in which he makes homophobic jokes, prompting Lisa to say "The Fox Network has sunk to a new low"

@Pope Guilty I came to mention that play as well. They put on a production here in Charlotte a year and half or so ago and it was as amazingly weird as it sounds.

There's at least one complete high school production of "Mr Burns, A Post Electric Play" watchable on (US) YouTube. It's FASCINATING.
