Far better than last week's. Some characterization to differentiate between Angus and Rupert, and a sense of how each person at Castle Leoch fits in the social order of the day.

Okay, so that was a lot of blood and torn muscle tissue. Clearly, boar hunts are a bad idea if you live in olden fantasy times (c.f. Game of Thrones).

Also, I get that these are rugged, hard-hitting blokes, but crikey, you'd think that at some point a sport as bloody as that hockey (?) would actually weaken the clan rather than... test its mettle, or whatever the benefit is supposed to be. There seemed to be a high probability of permanent injuries and reduced battle-worthiness! But now at least I understand why so many of them are missing a tooth or two.

I'm looking very much forward to the show hitting the road. I'm counting on some breathtaking scenery.
