Vulture - Pitch Recap: Inside Baseball

If the Millers were Jordan's ride to the game, shouldn't he have been in the wreck on the ride home? Making his father the cause of the crash seemed too contrived.

I don't know what to make of Ginny's reaction to Mike's phone call - I really liked her 'oh, ok, none of my business/TMI' reaction to Amelia, I don't want it to have been a front for some other emotion. No love triangle, please, please.

Still really loving this show.

I didn't love this one. I felt like up until now they'd done a good job of balancing the realism for people who know baseball while also making it accessible to non-fans. The trade deadline stuff felt overdone. Fakey fake.

However! I totally love Mark-Paul Gosselaar in this role, and that dude from Entourage as the douchey new baseball operations guy was inspired casting. I was also relieved that Ginny didn't get away with trying to pull rank to keep her friend in town.

The white kid was walking home alone, sadly probably. But yeah, seemed pretty contrived.

As far as declining Mike's call, I'm going to say it was because Ginny was seeing him as a confidant and won't be able to do that if he's close with her agent. I'm also hoping for no love triangle.

Still wish there was a bit more baseball. Maybe I'm watching for the wrong reasons.
