"May, want to go to prison? It could be Taco Tuesday."
"It was a death experience. I'm over it."
"It didn't feel like a trip to Tahiti."
Mace takes a darned good photo!
"This really IS Taco Tuesday."
"I saw you. Don't let it go to your head."
"Brawling is for the young pups. I'm reformed, man."
Interesting way to get out of lie detection, Simmons.
"If you're looking for Robbie, he's off hating himself somewhere else."

So does Simmons know what Mace was lying about or was that just a good bluff?

It amuses me that the part of this they're really nailing is the fire-skulled demon powered murderous vigilante antihero.
I'm not really getting the UNQUENCHABLE THIRST FOR VENGEANCE vibes from the actor. He seems mildly peeved most of the time.

His thirst for vengeance did screw up the mission and as far as he knows get the third most important person in his life killed (One and two being his little brother and his car). I wouldn't go as far as "unquenchable" but I'll definitely give them "problematic addiction to vengeance."
And yeah, I liked all of the previous seasons (even season 1! I binged it.) but this is definitely the best so far. Here's hoping to a couple more after this.

Stuff:
* It amuses me that the part of this they're really nailing is the fire-skulled demon powered murderous vigilante antihero. On network television. And they're not going the Wolverine route, trying to make him all extra-friendly. In this episode in particular, they're playing up that Ghost Rider might be a good guy, but he's not Batman, he's more like the Crow, and he would both freak normal people out, and he operates completely beyond the law in ways that are unacceptable.
I like that.
* I don't mind emo Daisy, but it's jarring every time talk about it comes back to Lincoln. They had zero chemistry. I'd rather she were more of a Magneto-ish figure, just worried about her people generally.
* Daisy's fight scene was great, although I am annoyed about them whacking her with the nerf bat.
* The ghost-fried guards were great.
* Coulson's force shield was awesome.
* I like Mace. He's a good choice for Director, although I'm with whomever suggested that maybe Simmons should be shooting for the post in the long term. (I appreciate that his style is internally consistent and very different from both Coulson and Fury.)
