Delicious movie. I would never have bothered, so thanks grouse!

I had no idea who/why Melissa Rauch's imbd page was something that I had in my browser history until I figured out that that she was Hoyt's (from True Blood) manic ultra-conservative pixie.

The movie is really sympathetic to the individuals involved but yet totally critical about the system. Kudos!

What's great about this movie I think is that unlike a lot of modern comedies where they improvise a lot to the point where things get awkward, this movie pulls back and has a bit of heart and doesn't keep the camera on too long in those moments. (I could be wrong, maybe not a lot was improvised in this movie...) It shows a restraint that makes it better overall.

Help me out with something that I noticed in the trailer...It's a small thing overall, but I knew that it would have really bugged me if my theory was correct so I stayed away from the movie:

A) Does it take place in the lead character's home town/where she grew up?
B) If so: is she the only character with an over-the-top accent?
C) If so: is there any in-movie explanation? Or did she just want to do a silly accent?

A) Yes, and its an important plot point
B) Sorta, but I wouldn't call it OOT; more of a personal quirk
C) Life circumstances growing up/personality
