Such a sad episode. It was distressing to see Kevin lose his shit and make that poor woman afraid for her life. The way they used familiar tropes (TV-as-portal, fire in the hotel room) to make the audience start to see patterns where there were none, just like the characters, was a stroke of genius.

So that question about the twin babies, that was a question about the ability to have faith, right?

I see what you're saying grumpybear69. I was going to mention how many misdirections there were, big and small, but you have the big idea behind them. Like, Nora didn't really have a technical problem, this time, but the security gate scene prompted the expectation. Kevin didn't get lost when they split up at the airport.

Did anyone else think Nora was privately thinking of really Going Beyond, depending on what she found? Or was it supposed to be obvious.

Amazing that they found an actress that looked just like Evie.

Wait. That wasn't the same actress?

Well, didn't the guy who burned himself in the desert in front of Kevin Sr. answer the other way?

Yup. There is a theory I've seen in some of the blog recaps that the whole "see your children again" scheme is a Guilty Remnant prank. Seeing as they appear to be preying on the most desperate (like Mark Linn-Baker and Nora) and we've witnessed at least one suicide as a result, it seems credible. I'm wondering if the self-immolating fellow in the bug didn't show up on Nora's laptop as she was reviewing the video testimonials. That's the sort of small detail I'd expect from this show.

Poor Mark Linn-Baker. All that he wanted was to get out of the city, but instead he just ended up being ridiculous.

It occurs to me that the baby twin with cancer question could be answered either way and still reveal a lack of faith.

I'm not really getting the Nora/Kevin breakup. It seemed to come out of no where or maybe I'm just dense.

Their relationship has always been based on very tenuous grounds. They hid more from each other than they shared.

True, but I guess because they were more honest with each other than anyone else in their lives, that I thought it was less tenuous than it was.

This show knows how to bring the pain, but Kevin and Nora's breakup was next level.
