Players are paid ten months a year and entitled to take two months off. Richer players go to warm climates during the off-season and hire special trainers. The less accomplished players can use the club facilities, but without any coaching. Would providing coaches be a way to close the wealth gap or would it be coercion to take the players' off-seasons away from them? No one seems to agree.

After a fourth straight last place season, Korean pro baseball team The Dreams hires a new General Manager to come in and turn things around. Baek Seung-soo has built several championship winning sports teams... none of them baseball teams. Facing shrinking budgets, infighting between the coaching staff, and a team deeply set in their ways, Seung-soo uses his outsider's insight and the help of the league's first female operations manager Se-young to upend the Dreams' culture in a bid to create a championship winning team.
