Gareth knows the truth, but doesn't want to believe it. Red and Ella have a bipartisan budget with something hidden in the Farm Bill, but that's a separate thing from the budget. Luke is being pre-vetted for Director of the CIA, but it's really Red staying a step ahead of him. [more inside]

Tense AF, as Laurel is taken into custody by the FBI (Kurt Fuller in supercreepy mode) and prepared for enhanced interrogation -- specifically, "controlled immersion", a new, less-drowny version of waterboarding. Gareth teams up with Luke to get an Intelligence Committee hearing on the use of torture, which Red manipulates as usual. But! Gustav and Rochelle have figured out some of the bugs' language and use it to make the bug-infected committee members raise their hands at the wrong times, then walk repeatedly into walls. It's an episode of discoveries! The bugs can be ejected from a human host -- it just takes booze and music and sex with Aaron Tveit. Also, the bugs can communicate via their hosts, and "You Might Think" turns out to be a faster version of the interplanetary music of the spheres. [more inside]

MeFi Horror Club #16: Dead Alive (aka Brain Dead)

It pains me greatly to call something from 1992 a "retro" movie, but I couldn't call it "recent" with a straight face, so working within our parameters, it's "retro." [more inside]
