Welcome to the Imperial Academy, where children become soldiers! Amongst these children this week is none other than Ezra Bridger, undercover and on a mission to retrieve a tool to reveal the location of a dangerous Imperial cargo shipment. Whilst undercover, his and another recruit's natural aptitude at defeating the challenges placed before the recruits attracts the attention of their teachers who in turn notify those who have an interest in young men and women who appear gifted. Also, our favorite foul mouthed astromech droid gets a temporary paint job. [more inside]

Ezra begins his Jedi training under the critical eye of Kanan with less than stellar results, when an illegal broadcast by a rebellious member of the Imperial Senate cues everyone to the presence of a captured Jedi Master being held in a remote and nigh impenetrable Imperial prison. Star Wars returns to the small screen since the cancellation of Clone Wars with the first Disney produced Star Wars franchise, Rebels! Set only five years before two droids crash land on Tatooine and into the life of Luke Skywalker, Spark of Rebellion begins our story on a rural planet in the Outer Rim with Ezra Bridger, a force sensitive orphan, with a habit of stealing, conning, and causing trouble with Imperial forces. This leads to his run in with the crew of the Ghost, a nascent band of rebels, in the midst of stealing weapons from the Empire. Caught up with the crew, Ezra finds himself traveling from an Imperial star destroyer to the spice mines of Kessel and ultimately, a new adventure in life. [more inside]
