Cult film club: Neurosurgeon/rock musician/physicist Buckaroo Banzai (pre-"Robocop" Peter Weller) meets a troubled girl (Ellen Barkin) at a club in New Jersey. Emilio Lizardo (John Lithgow) just wants to go home, assisted by his bickering hench-aliens (the sublime trio of Dan Hedaya, Christopher Lloyd, and Vincent Schiavelli).
