Devdas is an acclaimed 2002 Bollywood romantic drama film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It is the third film based on Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay's 1917 novel. Set in the early 1900s, the film follows Devdas (Shah Rukh Khan), a wealthy law graduate who returns from London to marry his childhood sweetheart, Paro (Aishwarya Rai).
