One Piece: Worst in the East

I think my favourite scene was at the end where Usopp is retelling the battle to some village kids but making it as if he defeated everyone and Luffy just smiled and went with it. In the anime/manga they'd probably have a shouting match with each other because that kind of conflict is "funny" even though Luffy doesn't care about getting credit for doing things anyway.

I really enjoyed this adaptation. I think it helps that the source material is so big that everyone knows going in that it isn't going to be a one-to-one adaptation and so it's more focused on the spirit of things as opposed to the actual events. That being said there were a lot of minor characters that got cut out that I'm still hoping will make some kind of appearance later on.

Coming into this with no exposure (other than countless lists telling me that I should watch one piece and then instantly declining after seeing how much of it there is), I had a good time.

I've since looked up some clips on YouTube, and I think I'm happy with what we got.
