Tonight, "Hangman" Adam Page and Swerve Strickland have their third (and maybe final?) match. Darby Allin and Sting will pit themselves against Absolute Ricky and Big Bill for the AEW World Tag Team Championship in a Tornado Tag Match. And Blackpool Combat Club's three killers will face CMLL's finest in their own trios match. Which match will be scarier to the audience and bloodier for the participants? Plus, Tony Khan has an announcement that really, really, really ought to be about Mercedes Moné.

The announced card for tonight:

Tony Khan has “a big announcement”

Swerve Strickland vs. Hangman Page: Winner gets an AEW World Championship match at Revolution

AEW World Tag Team Championship Match: Big Bill & "Absolute" Ricky Starks defend against Sting & Darby Allin

Chris Jericho vs. Konosuke Takeshita

Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli vs. Mistico, Volador Jr. & Hechicero

Before the show even starts, I'm just astounded that Sting -- who's 64 years old -- has a higher workrate than Roman Reigns. (And at this rate, he'll have a title before Cody does.)

Oh friends, we did it all in the opening match! The story that match told is that Swerve had scouted out Hangman's moves, but was only able to execute is own slightly-worse versions that fail to finish the match. At the same time, Swerve was the babyface in this match. He didn't cheat, he learned from his previous mistakes (like for example when he got his leg on the rope to end a pin without Prince Nana having to help him. When he got knocked to the outside Nana actually danced him back to consciousness, and if that's not a babyface playing to the crowd, then I just don't know.

And then the double turn completes itself when the two lads tie after 30 minutes. Swerve wants to go another five, and Hangman denies him the chance. Schiavone announces that the championship match will now be a triple threat, and Hangman goes all bug-eyed and shouty, and the double turn is nearly complete.

If you look carefully at the graphic after Tony Khan announced "Big Business" in Boston, you can see that theY "misspelled" the name as "Bo$$ton".

AND NEW

For reference, Sting hasn't held a title since 2011, and he hasn't held a tag title since 2007, when he was partnered with Kurt Angle in TNA.
