Masters of the Air: Part Six

Rosie and his crew are sent to rest at a country estate: Crosby meets an intriguing British officer at Oxford; Egan faces the essence of Nazi evil.

Bucky tries and fails to evade various hostile Germans, finally ending up with many of his squadron mates at Stalag Luft III, home of the Great Escape. For some reason, one of his interrogators wants information about Buck.

Rosie and crew get shipped off to a sanitarium in the countryside for 5 days of relaxation and repression of their traumas.

Cros gets sent to a conference at Oxford full of condescending Brits and Scots, and is tempted by Subaltern Westgate.

An episode where I was never, not for one second, confused about who or what I was seeing. Well of course, there weren't any air combat scenes. And it makes sense that depictions of air combat would be confusing. Living through air combat would be much more.

The chemistry between Westgate and Crosby was fun.

I was confused by the idea that Oxford has a campus. Sack the researcher.

More like this. Maybe this show just needed some time to ramp up. If someone asked me if this was worth watching I'd just have them start with last week's episode and this one. The vivid contrast from the different A, B and C stories really worked for me. Can't wait to see what hijinks Hogan's Heroes get up to next week!
