That little goat baby!!

Also, Scorch needs to GET GOT. Preferably in some gruesome fashion. Are commandos naturally more heartless? Rex would never shoot a kid.

So... Nala Se sacrificed several other children in order to protect Omega? Omega seriously wouldn't have appreciated that.

And it sounds like Emerie was one of Nala Se's special projects but Nala Se abandoned her? I assume Emerie is fast-aging: I wonder if she's younger than Omega, like the Batch is.

So what does abandonment by Nala Se look like? How did Hemlock pick up Emerie? I want backstory, dammit!

Omega was like a daughter, though, but agreed, Omega wouldn't be super happy.

This was one of those special episodes where we step back from the main focus of the show to delve deeper into the storyline that we know is happening elsewhere, but don't get to see, and I liked it a lot.

The appearance of Tarkin was a surprise and I wonder if it isn't an indicator of more Tarkin involvement down the road or is it just a reflection of Hemlock's position of reporting directly to the Emperor? It doesn't feel extraneous, so I'm guessing Tarkin will return somehow later on - if even to sabotage someone who appears to be gaining more influence than him or risking his own budget for his Tarkin Initiatives.

This episode also was an example of the franchise pulling back that curtain where we know horrible dark things happen, to seeing the horrible dark things happen. And Cad Bane right there profiting from it.

Wouldn’t it be funny if Hemlock gets taken out, not by vengeful clones, but by bureaucratic turf wars? Tarkin’s a knife fighter when he needs to be and I wouldn’t put it past him, even if it’s the Emperor’s pet project.
