30 Degrees in February - any takers for Swedish-Thai TV drama?

Is anyone else interested in watching this sweet, low-key and a bit melancholy series? (Available on Netflix in many regions.) Trailer. Something about it reminds me of The Station Agent.

I have only watched the first episode, but I would love to share this and hear what others think about it.

The fictive series follows different people from Sweden who move (or return) to Thailand. There's a single mother of two who looks for happiness after a life-altering crisis. There's her teenage daughter. A Thai man returning to find his son. A lonely man looking for a woman from a dating site to start a family with. And a paraplegic man and his emotionally abused wife (Lotta Tejle was nominated for an international Emmy for the role).

Any interest?

I've made it just short of halfway in the series and I'll probably finish it later this month or next. It took me an episode or two to get into the low-key approach and deliberate pacing, but it is very well done and well-acted.

I finished watching it this weekend absolutely enjoyed it. I'd love to discuss it as you watch!

Oh hello, at least there are a few of us! Maybe I should make just one post for the entire Season 1 then? (I've nearly finished it anyway, since I've been down with the flu and bingeing on Netflix this week.)

sively, please do! I know my reply is late but I'd love to see it. I've just started on Season 2 and I wish it were less suspenseful!

Hey smorgasbord (and others!), I made the S1 post a while ago but forgot to drop a link here. Oops. Anyway, here it is. Your voice is missed!

Netflix here has now added Season 2 as well, and I'm planning to give it a go in the near future (despite all my griping about where S1 went after such a great start). So if anyone likes to make a post, I'm game, although our numbers seem to remain few...
