It is a period of civil war. Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, will attempt to win their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire. During the battle, Rebel spies hope to steal secret plans to the Empire's ultimate weapon, the DEATH STAR, an armored space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet. [more inside]
Chuck Wendig's Aftermath: Life Debt officially was released today and the newest installment in the Post-RTOJ novelized Expanded Universe. Just a couple months ago, the most excellent Bloodline by Claudia Gray came out, and well, I was curious if anyone would be interested in starting book discussions on these and other additions to the Star Wars Expanded Universe. If so, we can start with Bloodline or even the first Aftermath book, and go from there. Thoughts?
A continuation of the saga created by George Lucas and set thirty years after Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983).
After rescuing Han Solo from the palace of Jabba the Hutt, the rebels attempt to destroy the second Death Star, while Luke struggles to make Vader return from the dark side of the Force.
After the rebels have been brutally overpowered by the Empire on their newly established base, Luke Skywalker takes advanced Jedi training with Master Yoda, while his friends are pursued by Darth Vader as part of his plan to capture Luke.
Luke Skywalker joins forces with a Jedi Knight, a cocky pilot, a wookiee and two droids to save the universe from the Empire's world-destroying battle-station, while also attempting to rescue Princess Leia from the evil Darth Vader.
As the Clone Wars near an end, the Sith Lord Darth Sidious steps out of the shadows, at which time Anakin succumbs to his emotions, becoming Darth Vader and putting his relationships with Obi-Wan and Padme at risk.
Howdy all! Season 2 of Star Wars: Rebels has commenced (again?)! For those who haven't seen it on the front page of Fanfare, here's the link to "The Lost Commanders."
Ten years after initially meeting, Anakin Skywalker shares a forbidden romance with Padme, while Obi-Wan investigates an assassination attempt on the Senator and discovers a secret clone army crafted for the Jedi.
Two Jedi Knights escape a hostile blockade to find allies and come across a young boy who may bring balance to the Force, but the long dormant Sith resurface to reclaim their old glory.
I'm assuming it exists already somewhere and I just can't find it, but a Star Wars movies rewatch before the new movie comes out? [more inside]
