I had a recap but a posting error ate it. So I'll just leave us with the key fact: Deke once again wasted several opportunities to die, and I am very disappointed in him.

Yeah, I sort of expected that Deke would die as a consequence of FitzSimmons being off base.

And Daisy? I dunno if you realized it, but Deke got his ass shot up. Save the ass chewing until he isn't being held together by SHIELD goop. That whole rescue segment felt suuuuuper contrived, frankly.

I posted this in the previous episode thread, but I was kind of shocked at how much Deke resembles Talbot. Both in appearance and mannerisms. Like, to the point where I wonder if it has plot implications, since it seems like nothing in this show happens by accident.

This Friday will be the last AoS episode before Thanos comes to Earth and tears shit up. I originally thought the time travel plot was going to be a way to paper over the non-integration of the show with rest of the MCU.

But now, here they are in the present, with three episodes scheduled to air after Infinity War is released. I'm curious how they'll handle this.

Hopefully by ignoring the whole damn thing? The whole BuckyCap love affair when Winter Soldier came out was just tedious as frig. Yeah great, Hail Hydra and everything, but as someone who doesn't think Bucky is the Best Buddy Movie Ever it was sort of annoying to have the show go on a season-long derail.

Oh for crying out loud. I liked this show better when it was called FlashForward and Jett Jackson jumped off a building to solve everyone's issues.

Look, Fitz et al., just because (you think) you're destined to do something doesn't mean you're obligated to just roll with it.
