‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Season 10, Episode 8: The Generation Slap (Amanda Duarte for New York Times)
In this highly consequential election, we have now reached the crucial stage in which the candidates must pander to that most determinant of demographics — the Medicare crowd. (Because the millennial vote is undergoing an optimistic surge, I will pander to them by Sriracha-ing this recap with trigger warnings.)

Cher and Cher Alike On RuPaul’s Drag Race [RECAP and RANKINGS] (Bobby Hankinson for Towleroad)
After one of the weaker episodes of the season last week, this week’s RuPaul’s Drag Race delivers a knockout.

A spectacular runway was preceded by a hilarious mini-challenge and a Rusical fit for a Kween. The episode featured some great moments with the queens bonding and an excellent lip sync that ended the episode on a high note. What more could you want? Loved it all.

You could see the producers’ gears turning as they softened The Vixen just prior to her exit. (Rumor has it the producers like to strongly suggest conversation topics to the queens in the workroom, which means they might have asked Asia to do a little work with The Vixen.) I’m glad it worked. Last week would have been a terrible note for her to leave on.

Aquaria is so far just about flawless.

Adored Vixen's runway look, but it was time for her to go. Loved the mini-challenge, everyone looked like they were having a really good time.

I would totally watch Asia O'Hara's Drag Race.

Groove Is In The Heart made me so happy this week. They were both good but Asia had that relaxed euphoric vibe down pat, PLUS, her face during "doip! 1, 2, 3, blblblbl" killed me. As a smart, polished pageant girl who is also a giant goofball, she's maybe my favorite to win (despite flunking Snatch Game).
