An Evening with Beverly Luff Linn (2018)

Lulu Danger's unsatisfying marriage takes a turn for the worse when a mysterious man from her past comes to town to perform an event called "An Evening With Beverly Luff Linn; For One Magical Night Only."
Watched this on Netflix, and it was a complete delight from start to finish.
The dialog was unnatural enough in places, especially early on, that it reminded me of Yorgos Lanthimos movies a little, but like, a version where it's more directly a comedy.
Aubrey Plaza did great work here, I never knew what was going to happen next, and I loved the tonal shifts. A+ would be confused again

I can’t believe this was a theatrical release. Absolutely bizarre and so entertaining. I think.
