Oh man, Officer Bill. They are building up one of the most flawed but sympathetic supporting characters in recent TV.

He's objectively terrible, mind you. But he has enough shreds of pathos and decency to elicit empathy anyway.

Bill's terribleness magnifies Richard Lee's fine character - whose core is completely inexplicable at this point. Was it his upbringing or something?

To be willing to guard Bill's place overnight with a shotgun without being told what that's all about, even after all that?

But yeah, Bill's fucked now - forever beholden.

The fighting is beautiful, extending to the Irish-style too. But the murder rate feels a little high.
